Cloud9 player Abay “HObbit” Khasenov spoke out after their defeat to Team Vitality at IEM Rio 2023 in CS:GO. The esports player’s message was published on Twitter:
“We take 3-4th place at IEM Rio 2023. We played well on the attacking side of Vetigo, but something went wrong on defense.
Dupreeh did a lot in this game. Well played, Team Vitality!”

IEM Rio 2023 takes place from April 17th to 23rd in Brazil. The prize pool of the championship is $250,000. The final of the competition will take place on April 23rd at 20:00 Moscow time, where Team Vitality will meet with Heroic.

As a fan of both Cloud9 and Team Vitality, it was a tough match to watch….

HObbit’s analysis of the match was spot on. The defense of Cloud9 on Vetigo could have been stronger, but it’s always important to recognize when the other team played better.
